Event Description

New York, NY – Spark and Echo Arts, an arts non-profit dedicated to illuminating the entire Bible through the arts, will celebrate its seventh year with a gala and silent auction fundraiser at the King’s College in New York City on Thursday, October 19th, 2017 at 7pm.

The evening will feature an exhibition of art from the project curated by Elias Popa and a program emceed by NYC comedian and co-founder of Comedy Wire, Paul Schissler. Handmade hors d'oeuvres and a premium silent auction celebrating the work of this expansive community will round out the night. Held in the beautifully renovated student union at The King’s College, this is a perfect event for NYC arts lovers who are excited about the intersection of art and faith.

Spark and Echo Arts is committed to engaging artists from diverse backgrounds by challenging them to respond to the Bible using their talents. To date the nonprofit has commissioned 291 artists, who have responded to 3,076 verses with hundreds of works of art. Artists are encouraged to respond honestly to each passage, in their voice.
