Artist / Personal Statement
Zia Hooker-Nevins is a designer and artist who earned a professional degree in architecture in the University of Colorado’s MArch program. After running projects in historic renovation, civic, and commercial design in the Washington DC metro area, she chose to study architecture at Cranbrook Academy of Art as a path to a deeper personal practice and artistic sensibility. Her instincts call her to the intersections between object, architectural space, and the political body.
