Artist / Personal Statement
I have always loved to paint people, not just to create a likeness, but to interpret the personality and character of my subjects. In addition to realistic portraits, my techniques have morphed into more of the abstract, using oil and acrylic charged with energy and bright color.
After a 25 year career in advertising, it was time to pick up the brush again, after a long hiatus. I was first inspired to paint again when I viewed the gorgeous faces of the Ethiopian and Indian people from photos my boss took on his humanitarian travels with the Canadian Foodgrains Bank.
I am blessed to be surrounded by music, working at the indie record label of my singer/songwriter boss, Steve Bell, and then evenings and weekends retreat to my art studio.

I indeed am Greg's son! Steve's upcoming concert for Hope Exchange sounds like it will be pretty amazing. I am actually working on connecting with Tim Huff right now because i really like the work that he is doing.
