Revealing truth and inspiring lives through visual media.
Accomplishments / CV
I'm currently the Media Director at The Crossing, an Evangelical Presbyterian Church. My role is to produce original video and photography.
Previously I was the Photo Editor for the Columbia Daily Tribune where I worked with four staff photojournalists and two editorial image technicians. And prior to The Tribune I was a staff photojournalist for the Grand Island Independent for eight years. I worked though my college education at the Lincoln Journal Star where I started as a lab technician, then summer intern and finally as a part-time staff photojournalist. Prior to photojournalism I worked in visual communications for Union College's public relations department where I photographed events and advertising as well as shot and edited video.
Other jobs I have had and liked, but was happy to be done with were farm hand on a dairy, boiler room attendant and deckhand on a commercial fishing boat in Bristol Bay Alaska. Ok, I actually liked that last one despite the long hours and stinky fish.
