Artist / Personal Statement
My collage-like background includes fiction writing, editing, motherhood, quilt making, seminary, and art school.
A recent BFA graduate (yet somehow "midlife"), I continue to pursue painting and drawing, fiber arts such as spinning, weaving, dyeing, stitchwork, and the occasional merging of both streams.
I journal and keep notebooks to feed the art making process; I write to 16 Compassion children in Africa and Asia to nurture and connect with the global body of Christ.
I live in the Chicago area with my husband of 23 years, Bryan, and my 2 teenagers, Lila and Cameron. We attend Life on the Vine (CMA) church in Long Grove.
