Artist / Personal Statement
My art explores our journey among the forces of the supernatural; the arena where we are tried and tested. We live in a world that butts up against unseen forces that impact our lives. Jesus and the Apostle Paul provided truths about this. This may not be a pretty side but it was very real to them and I do not believe the portal has changed.

To pass through and to be told, "we'll done, good and faithful servant,"is indeed an ultimate form of reality.

I combine my love of hiking in natural forests with my search for landscape imagery. The photos serve as a catalyst for ideas that develop during the painting. The use of the landscape - woody structures, rocks, leaves, moss, et al, ties the painting into the natural world. Combined with this, are elements not found in forests. My art tries to make a connection between the physical world and a supernatural one.

Anyone tormented by the guilt of murder

will seek refuge in the grave;

let no one hold them back.

How do I know? I know because my science text book tells me so.  Which version?  Oh, the latest one silly.

Interesting most companies say my only obligation is to the shareholder – to make them more money.  However, if their activities are not viewed as politically correct, they will revise them to be politically correct and still make money.  A small few will say, I must make money but also follow a moral code that for me is on a higher level and is the right thing for me to do.  If the code is on a higher level then it must not change and must be from a higher power who is truth. …

Hope to see you Andy

Andy Griffith created a wonderful slice of American values, it is sad to see him go. Yet, he may very well be in a super place to continue to sing his hymns. May we all be listeners one day.
