Artist / Personal Statement
There is a problematic tension that continually fertilizes my work. Two "in my face" realities challenge any attempt I might otherwise make toward complacency. My expression visually is exploration into the polarities of death and hope, of the fearful reality of entropy tempered by the intervention of beauty. And beauty is not something I can corral or control. I am working with dynamite; then all of a sudden there are whispers that are timeless and full of mercy.
