Artist / Personal Statement
I have been a studio artist for over 45 years. Celebration and contemplation are the 2 themes that run through my work. I celebrate the joy of life in God's created universe and contemplate the mystery of his revelation in Jesus Christ.
The Bible, the symbols and iconography of the Church have long been inspirations for my work. My work is small and intimate, meant to speak to the individual and offer time and space for worship, meditation and silence.

Thank you Nancy, I really do love what you are doing with iconography and fabric and beadwork. I think it is really very interesting. I have read about the Russian embroidered icons and but have only see a few examples. I think your work is fascinating.
Hi Nancy! Thanks for messaging me. It's great to hear from you. Indeed my work continues to evolve. I'm experimenting with acrylic now and have found new ways to layer and add texture with stitching. I'm still learning but am enjoying the journey. I'll post more as the year goes on. Looking forward to getting back in the studio in the New Year. Your work is beautiful as always! Happy New Year, Nancy and may you be blessed with a fruitful 2012.
