Artist / Personal Statement
Rachel is a printmaker, book artist, typographer, and graphic designer.
She believes that as artists, what we make matters. There is an eternal significance to our work and that places the responsibility on us to ensure that we are creating with that in mind.
As an artist, Rachel’s work tends toward the serious, theological, and philosophical, merging historical techniques and classical styles with modern technology to extend their relevance into our time. Currently there is a heavy German influence on her work, and many of her stylistic tendencies were inspired by the fine press movement.
