Artist / Personal Statement
As a painter, I once called myself a colorist, as color is the most critical element in my paintings, and I would have to say that still stands. I am a great lover of brushwork, and love to play with the elements of realism in abstraction and abstraction in realism. I’ve branched out into illustration and character design, and have come to love 3D modeling. Along with my MFA, I have a Masters in Art History, and have spent a very long time studying the influence of philosophy on the Church and how that in turn affected the Church’s attitudes toward the arts.
Accomplishments / CV
Six national and six regional juried exhibitions, two one-man shows and one three-person invitational show.
