Artist / Personal Statement
Rusty Kinnunen is a Printmaker, Painter, Designer, and Illustrator.
His current focus on printmaking brings together his diverse skills as a Painter, Illustrator, and Graphic Designer to create bold compositions with fresh colors, simple, iconic imagery, and a confident use of type. His subjects are primarily New England landscapes and culture with a focus on the seashore. His style has references to vintage poster and illustration art, but it is strikingly contemporary and unmistakably his own. He works in screen printing and linoleum block printmaking.
