Artist / Personal Statement
Samara Thomas, originally from Sussex, England, now lives in Jackson, Mississippi. She works in the mediums of black and white film photography, mixed media ink drawings and large-scale installation sculptures. Her artistic process is directly influenced through the unconventional recycled materials she uses to form her sculptures. There is a connecting tie of organic aesthetic quality in her work that is inspired by her studies of biological processes found in nature.
