Artist / Personal Statement
Much of my work is small in dimension but grand in spatial relationship and theme. I attempt to express deep emotion in monumental but direct ways using a variety of well executed compositional elements. Recently I have been exploring ideas having to do with posing individuals or small groups in settings suggestive of metaphysical themes. These figures are by turns kneeling, soaring, floating, or perhaps meditatiting in deep space. Their world is timeless and mysterious but allegorical in that their message concerns questions of human existence.
