Artist / Personal Statement
Caleb Paul Kortokrax (b. 1987) is an American painter whose work is born of daily observation. Created from life, his paintings are a record of a durational transaction between himself and a person/place/object. The paintings develop into living vessels holding histories of his subjective perceptual experimentation and growth. Using strings, compasses, sticks, plumb bobs, wire grids, and a critical devotion to vision and paint, his surfaces are transformed into fully-breathing, material responses to this life.

Hi Caleb:

Thank you so much for the friendship invite and your kind words concerning my work. At this moment and with the CIVA Conference quickly drawing nigh, it looks like I probably will not be able to attend. I hope that if you are going that you would derive much in the way of personal contacts as well as in spiritual/ artistic inspiration and illumination !

Blessings...

Robert
