Artist / Personal Statement
I seek to represent the spirit of space, peopled or vacant, interior or exterior, architectural or natura.
During the three years I lived in Italy the encounter with the narrative power of pre-Renaissance painting changed me, and now I struggle to make relevant those stories using contemporary visual language. I want to participate in this ‘sacra conversazione’, to become a dancer in the choreography of tradition. Images from the years I spent there flow in and out of her work.
