Artist / Personal Statement
I am a sculptor and have a passion for clay. Having a career Spanning 45 years my artistry is fueled by discovery and continues to flow like a river. I'm guided by Observation Inspiration Imagination Interpretation Exploration Perspiration Abstraction and Execution focusing on Harmony Rhythm Balance Texture Shape and Form expressed with Love and Hope.
Accomplishments / CV
Additionally, I teach sculpture workshops and exhibit extensively throughout the US and Italy. My instruction books “The Portrait in Clay” and “Sculpting the Figure in Clay” are Random House publications, distributed world wide and translated in 5 languages. Notable bronze commissions include a 10 foot reclining abstract figure titled “Mother Of All LIfe “ installed at the Boyko Research Center in the Holy Land and a 35 foot tall figure titled “Archangel” for the Walt Disney Company. My Patriotic sculptures “Remembrance” created for The Connecticut Fallen Heroes Foundation and “Reflection” for the Waxhaw NC Military Wall of Honor are enduring national symbols of freedom and sacrifice. Also portrait busts of President Obama, jazz icon Dave Brubeck, Emmy award recipient actor David Canary and baseball legend Babe Ruth, to name a few.

When I'm not creating works in my studio I speed sculpt a 225 lb. monumental clay portrait bust of Jesus in 15 minutes choreographed to contemporary christian music. This original and divinely inspired extreme sculpting performance is titled ‘Passion In Clay”. A 2 minute video clip can be viewed at
